The Advanture in rain forest

During year 2010, You are welcome to take part in serie of adventure expeditions into rain forest in natural park, which belongs to places with highest biodiversity not only in the Southeast Asia but also on the whole world as well.

Green life is unusual conservation project angaged with forest protection and revitalization. It has been set up on the border of Gunung Leuser National park, where is also located field station which is open to scientists, nature photographers as well as to interested tourist and volunteers. Moreover You are welcome to join us to support Green life project and help to protect rain forest too. Terms for visiting the Green life and to experience any advanture activity are open from january to october.

From Berkail river to Bohorok river - 5. 2. - 17. 2. / 22. 2. - 6. 3. 2010

This is breathtaking one week track through jungle in hearth of NP Leuser between Berkail river and Bohorok river - the place where white-man steps very rarely. During year 2009 was such expedition done by group of biologists from Faculty of Nature Sciences, Charles University. We neuvěřitelná encounter wild orangutanss, we followed the fresh tiger and wild elephant steps, observed majestic hornbills and lot of species of reptiles and amphibiens not only on night macrophotograhic short trips. During our track we plan one night stay in place of animal watering and elephant mud bathing place. Finaly you will enjoy native style rafting in the Bohorok river. The first expeditton was so succesfull that we are glad to to offer same expedition again in year 2010.

Program:

day 01.- arrival Medan (Sumatra) and meeting with czech guide, transfer to Bukit Lawang, accomodation in bungalows; day 02. – acclimatization track around Bukit Lawang and to orangutan feeding station; day 03. track to Green life field station, relax and aclimatization, night macrofoto trail (depending on weather); day 04. - Green Life – active working on project (cleaning the sidehills and stream and new forest planting, days 05.-11. - track over NP Leuser with oversleeping in shelters built by guides in jungle, day 12. -rafting in Bohorok river to Bukit Lawang, spending night in bungalows; day 13. – transfer to Medan, return to CZ (or some where else :) )

Expedition „Manta rays and Orangutans“ - 18. 1. - 2. 2. 2010 / 12. 3. - 27. 3. 2010

This action begins on the island Nusa Penida near Bali, where you will dive with colossal manta rays and reef sharks, you will see rich coral reefs full with fishes. After that you will continue to Sumatra to meet orangutans and leaf monkeys (gibbons, macacs), You will experience virgin wilderness of NP Leuser and spend a few days in jungle camp of Green life project. Whole action finishes, where it began, in renowned Balien Kuta, where is common not to go sleep untill morning Program:

01.day - arrival Bali, Kuta, relax, welcome dinner; 02.day – transfer to Nusa Penida, acommodation and relax; 03.day - 2x diving; 04.day - 2x diving; 05.day - 2x diving; 06.day - 2x diving; 07.day – transfer to Bali, relax; 08.day – flight to Medan (Sumatra), transfer to elephant station; 09.day – track on the elephants backs in jungle, transfer to Bukit Lawang; 10.day - track to Green Life; 11.day – finish track to Green Life and comming to camp; 12.day - relax in Green Life (posible short trip in jungle); 13.day – native style rafting in Berkail river and return to Bukit Lawang; 14.day – morning trip to see orangutans and evening party; 15.day – transfer to Medan and departure to Bali; 16.day – departure to CZ

Občanské sdružení Prales dětem o.s., was established in june 2009 in prague in cz

„Prales detem“ was established in 2009 in Prague (Czech Republic), which has taken patronage for operation of Czech-Indonesian project Green Life in Sumatra on the border of The Gunung Leuser National Park.

The main aim of the GL project is purchasing of rain forest land in the border of NP Leuser and its consevation or revitalization of cutted down places enabling return of fauna back to those territories. Aim is to purchase ladn from the all valley, which covers 30 ha. Recently, Green Life covers 10 ha area and gives job to 4 native gards, who are also guides. OS Prales dětem offers membership for 1 year for 60€ as membership fee. For membership you have to fill up a registration on www.adventure-leuser.com.
